Ferdinand “Ferdy” Morlock, 87, of Cando, ND and formerly of Egeland, ND, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Towner County Living Center in Cando, ND. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11 AM at Cando Lutheran Church in Cando, ND. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery in Egeland.

Ferdinand “Ferdy” Morlock was born on August 26, 1924 in ND, the son of  Fred and Amelia (Hildenbrand) Morlock. He grew up in Egeland and attended rural school. He was united in marriage to Isabell Schumacher on August 21, 1949 in Egeland, ND. The couple farmed in the Egeland area until 1991 when they moved to Cando. He continued to help out on the farm until he moved into the Towner County Living Center in 2007.

Ferdinard ”Ferdy” is survived by his wife: Isabell Morlock of Cando, ND; son: Marvin (Laury) Morlock of Wilton, ND; daughter: Linda (Allen) Martinson of Devils Lake, ND; grandchildren: Michelle Martinson of Rapid City, SD, Curtis Martinson of Devils Lake, ND, Shanna Morlock of Wilton, ND, Shane Morlock of Bismarck, ND, Kellyn Morlock of West Fargo, ND, Kalea Morlock of Apple Valley, MN; great-grandchildren: Ally Messner of Carrington, ND, Seth Morlock of Bismarck, ND; amd sister: Mavis (Marlin) Blake of Devils Lake, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Elmer Morlock.
