Aaron Lee Dalgliesh, 46, of Hannah, ND passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, as the result of an automobile accident near Hannah.
Aaron was born on July 27, 1979, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, to Quinn and Marilyn (Weber) Dalgliesh. He spent his childhood on the Dalgliesh family farm near Calvin alongside his sister, Sheila and his uncles, Espen and Erik. He later moved to Cando before moving to Devils Lake, where he graduated from high school.
From a young age, Aaron had a natural talent for working with his hands; a lifelong love of tinkering in the garage and solving mechanical problems. That passion led him to a career in the automotive industry, where he worked in auto repair shops and at the Devils Lake NAPA Auto Parts.
Family was at the heart of Aaron’s life. He was a devoted son who was always there for his parents, ready to help with whatever needed to be done. He especially cherished the time he spent hunting and fishing with his father, playing board games as a family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Whether working alongside family, enjoying the outdoors, or simply spending time together, Aaron valued those moments above all else.
Aaron treasured his friends and neighbors. He was proud to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Hannah Fire Department. The friendships he built throughout his life will be remembered by all who knew him.
Aaron is survived by his loving girlfriend, Rachel Lassonde (Hannah); his parents, Quinn and Marilyn Dalgliesh (Bisbee, ND); his sister, Sheila (Grand Forks, ND); his daughter, Reese Anderson (Valley City, ND); his aunts and uncles, many cousins; extended family members; and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alan and Tove Dalgliesh, Mathis and Catherine Weber, uncles Erik Dalgliesh and Dell Dalgliesh.
Aaron will be remembered for his kind heart, mechanical talent, humor, and love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held at Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, North Dakota, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will take place later this summer.
