Ann Hursh, 94, of Cando, ND, passed away Friday, August 16th, 2019 at the Towner County Living Center in Cando. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at the Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, August 25th, 2019 at 3:30pm at the Christian Fellowship Church in Cando with Pastor Jeff Peters officiating. A light lunch with refreshments will be served following the service in the church basement. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with a Family Service at 7:00pm at the Christian Fellowship Church in Cando and for one hour prior to the service on Sunday in the church. Music will be provided by Laona Eggl and Catherine Anfinson. Burial will take place at a later date at the Zion Cemetery in rural Cando.
She was born November 7, 1924 to Vincent and Genevieve Lindstrom in Veronia, Oregon. She eventually met her future husband, Lloyd in her late twenties. They would begin their legacy together on August 16, 1953. The family continued to reside in Oregon until 1973 when they moved to Cando and began their farming adventure on the Hursh farm.
Ann has always been known for her love and kindness towards others and her giving spirit. She enjoyed sharing her love for the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, in Bible study, and with her family and friends. She was also passionate about her flower beds, gardens, the family farm, cooking, baking, knitting, and sewing. She was well known for her dill pickles and as the family Boggle champion. Ann touched the hearts of many people and showed love to all those that crossed her path. She will be missed deeply by all those that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her brother, Robert; and her parents, Vincent and Genevieve. She is survived by her four children Karla(Terry), Ken(Karin), Kathi, and Kristi; fourteen grandchildren, Joel(Amanda), Holly, Tia, Hope(Willie), Hanna, Paul, Serra(Robert), Richell, Mac, Kyra, Lowgn, Dana, and Derek(Megan); seventeen great-grandchildren, Zane, Braughn, Jadyn, Andy, Derek, Tati, Zavier, Kaitlyn, Josie, Mia, Evan, Celeste, Aden, Sebastian, Sage, Sylas, and Jude; and one great-great grandchild, Paisley.
