Anna M. Hunt, 95, of Cando, ND formerly of Rock Lake, ND passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019 at St. Francis Basic Care in Cando. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake with Pastor Scott Ramey officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by 7:00 PM Prayer Service Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando. Burial will take place at the All Nations Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
Anna M. Pantsari was born July 5, 1924 in Rock Lake, the daughter of Albert and Edna (Bykonen) Pantsari. She graduated from Rock Lake Public School in 1943 and continued her education at Minot State College where she received her Bachelor's Degree in 1971. Anna taught school for twenty five years, retiring in 1979. On June 14, 1946, Anna Pantsari and Francis (Swede) Hunt were married in Minneapolis, MN. Swede passed away on November 9, 1994.
Anna was a member of All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake. She had also been active with LWML, Ladies American Legion, Rock Lake Senior Citizens, bible study and North Dakota retired teachers. Anna enjoyed spending winters in Florida and Seattle. She also enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and cherished the time she spent with her family, grandchildren and special friend, Delores Tappe. She especially liked watching football and the Minnesota Vikings.
Anna is survived by her children, James (Patricia) Hunt of Mukilteo, WA, Jane (John) Botts of Sarasota, FL, Gary (Jennifer) Hunt of Rock Lake, ND; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edie Dunham, Ellen Mae (Larry) Slaubaugh; sister-in-law, Phyllis Pantsari; brother-in-law, George Lewis; along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Swede) Hunt; sisters, Hazel (Severi) Eckholm and Shirley Lewis; brother, Harold Pantsari; parents, Albert and Edna Pantsari; one granddaughter.
