Tony grew up in Calio, North Dakota, and graduated from Rock Lake High School. He attended college in Devils Lake, North Dakota, where he earned a degree in drafting. After college, Tony moved to a farm in Rock Lake, where he began his life of farming and working with cattle. He took great pride in raising and working with his cows. They were a big part of his everyday life, and he spent many hours caring for them, working the herd, and tending to the farm. Tony had a great love for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and especially bear hunting. He also had a passion for archery because he enjoyed the challenge and believed it was a fair way to hunt. He helped run the Rock Lake Gun Club and loved riding his motorcycles. During the winter months, Tony enjoyed taxidermy. He spent time working on his taxidermy projects and took pride in the work he did. In 1999, Tony started working as a mechanic at Joe’s Sports Center, alongside his son, Josh. Tony worked there until the time of his death. Tony will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of farming and cattle, his appreciation for the outdoors, and most of all, his love for his family. He is survived by his five children; Tammy (Myron) Fenner, Nicole Egstad, Josh Christenson, Ashley Christenson, Hunter Christenson. 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lauralie Gustafson; his parents, Albert Christenson and Doris Price; and his stepfather, Melvin Price. Tony leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever carry his love with them. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories of his hardworking hands, his love for the farm and cattle, his passion for the outdoors, and the life he shared with his family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
