Ardyce Evensvold, 86, of Cando, ND passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at her home. There will be a family service at a later date. Burial will be held at the Tagus Lutheran Cemetery in Tagus, ND.

Ardyce Sjaastad Evensvold was born January 25, 1932 to E. Odin and Alice (Evenson) Sjaastad in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated at Tagus, ND and then graduated from NDAC (now NDSU) in 1953. Ardyce was united in marriage to Ellsworth "Tom" Evensvold on July 26, 1953. They lived in Tagus and raised their two children, Thomas Larry and Lori Ann, there.

Ardyce taught school for 20 years and then helped Tom with the farm. They retired in 1999 and continued to live at Tagus until 2011 when they moved to Cando. Tom died in 2015.

Ardyce is survived by her son, Thomas (DeLaine) and Lori (David) Dunham; five granddaughters, Diane, Kayla, Dawn, Jessica and Patricia; great-grandchildren, Cherish, Ray, Chase, Elise, Allie, Deacon and Ashlynn; sister, Bette (Bob) Asplund; sister-in-law, Irene Sjaastad; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E. Odin and Alice (Evenson) Sjaastad; husband, Tom; brothers, Edwin and Larry; great-grandchildren, Parker and Meredith.
