Beatrice Hanson, 90, Owatonna, MN, formerly of Cando, ND, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Ecumen Countryside Senior Living in Owatonna, MN. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Cando Lutheran Church with Pastor Bonnie Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cando. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Cando Lutheran Church. Music will be provided by Roberta Mundahl. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren Terry Hanson, Marty Hanson, Michael Braun, Don Cobban, Derek Cobban, Kacey Coles, Christopher Hilts, Kade Coles and Kyle Coles.

Beatrice Trenda was born to James and Mary Trenda on August 17, 1924 at Lankin, ND. She was raised and attended school near Lankin, ND. Beatrice married Donald E. Braun on December 28, 1943. Donald passed away on August 1, 1954. She married Harold Hanson on October 26, 1956 in Cando, ND. The couple lived in Cando and farmed until retiring. They spent winters in Arizona for many years. Harold passed away on September 16, 1997.

Beatrice was a member of Cando Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Hospital Auxiliary and Red Hats. She loved to craft, read, do puzzles, walk and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her son Lyle (Debbie) Braun, Tioga, ND, daughters Lois Cobban of Blooming Prairie, MN, Danette (Kevin) Coles of Britton, SD, step-son Roger Hanson of Columbus, MT, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Helen Trenda of Vancouver, WA, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Donald Braun and Harold Hanson, daughter Donna Hilts, son-in-law Pat Cobban, sister Lenora Gill, brothers Roger and Daniel Trenda.
