Delmar Robert Sormula, 72, of Anoka, MN, formerly of Grand Forks and Rock Lake, ND passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake with Rev. Scott Ramey officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery, Perth, ND in the spring. Casket bearers will be Aaron Bauer, Marcus Bauer, Marvin Bucholz, Donald Bucholz, Maria Cochran and Marilyn Facchina. Music will be provided by Lisa Held and Samantha Sylvia-Cochran.

Delmar R. Sormula was born on October 3, 1942 to Paul and Clara (Wolter) Sormula in Perth, North Dakota. Delmar grew up on the family farm in Perth, graduating from Rock Lake High School. He then went to college at the University of North Dakota where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. Delmar worked for the Park District in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He most recently resided in Anoka, Minnesota. Delmar enjoyed weather watching, bible study, games, spending time with friends, loved a good joke and good food.

Delmar is survived by one sister, Emilie E. Bauer; nieces, Lisa Bauer and Maria Cochran; nephews, Aaron Bauer and Marcus Bauer; great-nieces, Allison, Samantha and Emilie Sylvia-Cochran. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Clara Sormula.
