Donald Devillo Doehler, 93, of Perth, ND passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Rolette Community Care Center in Rolette, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Rolla, ND with Rev Thaines Arulandu celebrating the mass. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at the Perth Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Fred C. Wagner Post #235 Rolla American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donald's name are preferred to Uffda Fund for Animals, P.O. Box 454, Cando, ND 58324 or to the donor's choice.

Don was born on July 10, 1930 to Devillo and Georgianna (Svec) Doehler in Rolette, North Dakota.  He was raised on the farm north of Perth and graduated from Perth High School in 1948.  Upon graduation he started farming and married Inez Ruckle on March 26, 1951 in Rolla, North Dakota.  Don served two years in the Army, stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska where they welcomed their son Tim.  They returned to the current farm west of Perth where they raised their three children, Tim, Terry and Janelle.  Don retired from farming in 1995.

Don enjoyed restoring tractors, creating and building something from nothing.  He also enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his pets, playing cards, hunting and fishing.  He was a lifelong member of the American Legion and Bisbee Post.

Don is survived by his wife Inez; children Tim (Pam) Doehler of Perth, ND; Terry (Ron) Brown of Mountain, ND and Janelle (Skeeter) Carkhuff of Nisswa, MN. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Melissa David, Jessica Lamblez, Erik Doehler, Chris Doehler, Brianna Cincoski and Caitlyn Carkhuff and 8 great-grandchildren; Cole Phillips, Nova Lamblez, Tobias Lamblez, Neela Doehler, Delany Doehler, Garrett Doehler, Paityn Rodriguez and Keira Cincoski; special family friends Scott (Sharon) Boe & family and Tom (Cindy) Rerick & family.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Devillo and Georgianna Doehler, his brother John Doehler, sister Melvina Klier and one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
