Duane T. Underdahl, 80, Bismarck, formerly of Cando, ND passed peacefully into eternal rest surrounded by family on December 14, 2015 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home of Cando, N.D. Family welcomes visitation one half hour prior to the memorial service. Pastor Rob Buechler will be officiating. Interment will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Cando, N.D. following the service. Music will be provide by Catherine Anfinson. Military Honors will be provided by the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team.

Duane was born March 3, 1935 in Cando, N.D. the son of Theodore and Adelia (Erickson) Underdahl. He attended Cando High and in 1957 enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served two years. After an honorable discharge, he joined his father at the Underdahl Monument Company of Cando. Duane engraved and set the monuments for over 25 years.
In 2002 he moved to Bismarck to assist with his Brother Lloyd's care. Duane continued to live in Bismarck until his death.
He is survived by two Sisters, Luella Dix of Williston, N.D., and Loretta Currie of Spearfish, S.D.; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Adelia; one Sister, Lorraine Trenda; Brothers, Alvin and Lloyd; and several nephews and nieces.
