Elaine Rinas, 87, of Cando, ND and formerly of Egeland, ND passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake, ND with Rev. Scott Ramey officiating.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Elaine was born to Curtis and Annie Quackenbush on November 10, 1935, in Rock Lake, ND.  She graduated from Egeland High School in 1953.  On February 17, 1955, she married Harold Rinas.  They lived on the farm North of Egeland where they raised their family of 6.  In 2017 they moved into Cando, ND, where she lived until her passing.  She spent her pastime crocheting afghans, doilies and potholders, which everyone in the family and friends received.  She loved being around her family and especially her grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harold, their son Keith (Connie) Rinas of Fargo, ND, Leah (Fred) Lundeby of Tolna, ND, Kevin (Kayleen) Rinas of Bisbee, ND, Bruce (Kari) Rinas of Egeland, ND, Lisa (Jerry) Johnson of Fargo, ND and her sisters, Helen and Peg; she has 13 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Lucille and Betty, her brother Everett, her son Bryon and great grandson Jackson.

Elaine was loved by her kids and grandkids very much and will be missed by all.
