Elmer Worms, 90, Cando, ND passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Towner County Living Center in Cando, ND. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Cando United Methodist Church in Cando, ND with Rev. Rick Craig officiating.  Visitation will be held at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 3 to 5 p.m. Visitation on Monday will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Serving as Casket Bearers for Elmer will be Jim Onerheim, Wilbur Boldt, Lyle Morlock and Kent Vesterso. Music will be from Karen Braaten and Catherine Anfinson. Interment will be at the Clyde Cemetery, Clyde, ND.

Elmer Worms was born May 12, 1922, in Clyde, ND, the son of Leonard and Mildred (Van Horn) Worms. He attended rural school in Teddy Township. Elmer farmed all of his life in Teddy Township. He retired in 1987 and moved to Cando, ND. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cando. In his retirement, Elmer enjoyed working with his hands doing woodworking and vegetable gardening. He made many unique birdhouses and yard ornaments. He also enjoyed being a volunteer for the Senior Center in Cando. In June 2006, he became a resident of the Towner County Living Center and resided there until his death.

Elmer is survived by his siblings: Leona (Wilbur) Boldt of Fargo, ND, Donald (Dee) Wold of LaPorte, MN, Sharon (Jim Onerheim) Lilleberg of Devils Lake, ND and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Halford and Harold.
