Eric Jay Sivertson, 35, of Cando, ND, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his home in Cando, ND. Services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, ND with Rev. Bonnie Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 for one hour prior to the service at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, ND. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Cando, ND. Casket bearers will be Chris Sivertson, Jeff Sivertson, Ross Sivertson, Jordan Sivertson, Ashley Sivertson, Brock Thomas, Brett Thomas and Simon Houle.

Eric was born on August 19, 1981 to Larry and Lisa (Eggl) Sivertson in Cando, ND. Eric attended school in Cando and graduated from Cando High School. He moved to Fargo where he was employed by Food Services of America for several years before returning to Cando.

Eric was an avid outdoorsman. He was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, and four wheeling. Eric recently enjoyed taking a cruise with his friend, Brock Thomas. When Eric was younger his thrill of sports was playing hockey. He enjoyed following the UND Fighting Sioux.

Eric is survived by his parents Larry and Lisa Sivertson, three brothers, Chris Sivertson, Jeff Sivertson, Ross Sivertson, step-brother, Jordan Sivertson, half-sister, Ashley Sivertson, son, Braden, paternal grandparents, Gordon and Marilyn Hall. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws, Emily Sivertson and Sandra Sivertson, and soon to be sister-in-law Michelle Bjerke.

Eric was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, George and Celestine Eggl and an aunt Shirley McKinnon.
