Eunice A. Johnson, 88, Cando, ND went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Towner County Living Center in Cando. Funeral services will be held on March 24, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Cando Assembly of God Church in Cando, ND.  Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Cando.

Eunice A. Hall was born August 23, 1923 in Egeland, ND, the daughter of Axel and Julia (Olson) Hall.  After graduating from Egeland High School she moved to Cando where she was employed. She was united in marriage on June 18, 1944 to Clifford Johnson, and the couple lived on the Johnson farm west of Cando that Clifford's father homesteaded. In 1958 they moved into their house in Cando where she resided until entering the Towner County Living Center in October of 2008.

Eunice was a good wife, good mother, doting grandmother and caretaker. She lovingly cared for her older sister, Evelyn, who finished raising her upon her mother's death.  Eunice was a member of the Cando Assembly of God where for many years she was a Sunday school teacher and involved in the women's ministry. Through the years she also was involved in Aglow, Christian Women's Club and TOPS. She enjoyed journaling and watching the Christian TV networks.

Eunice is survived by her daughter: Janet (Sam) Wiertzema of Tucson, AZ;  foster daughter: Gloria (Gerald) Maurseth of Cando, ND;  grandchildren: Monty (Leanne) Wiertzema  of Campbell, MN,  & Shayla Stein of Tucson, AZ; great- grandchildren: Taylor, Benjamin and Regan Wiertzema as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and all of her siblings: Wallace, Chester, Willard, Bernice, Evelyn, Mildred, Inez, Hazel, Ruby, Ruth and their spouses as well as her husband's siblings and spouses.
