Eunice M. Johnson, 98, of Cando, ND, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Towner County Medical Center in Cando, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Christian Fellowship Church in Cando, ND with Reverend Bonnie Weaver officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in the spring at the I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Cando, ND.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the Christian Fellowship Church: 620 3

Eunice M. Shock was born September 14, 1918 in Zion Township, west of Cando, to Thomas Francis Shock and Mary Katherine (Phillips) Shock. She grew up in the Zion community and attended Hardwheat Country School. Eunice married Adolf I. Johnson on February 28, 1940 in Towner County and they settled in Cando raising three children and making everlasting friendships. The couple were lifelong members of the Christian Fellowship Church.
Eunice was employed by the Rest Haven Manor for a number of years and upon retiring, cared for her step grandchildren: Kari Hoover, Jay Hoover, Nicolette Schaffer and Whitney Schaffer. Eunice enjoyed crocheting, word searches and family get togethers. Her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Eunice is survived by her children, Janice (Charles) Israel of Cando, ND, Lyle (Catherine) Johnson of Cando, ND and Patricia (Larry) Larson of Cando, ND; 7 grandchildren, Tamri Israel, Kirk Israel, Michelle (Dale) Heisler, Angela (Todd) Neilson, Falan Johnson, Bradley (Michele) Larson and Scott (Anne) Larson; 9 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Sterling Shock of Billings, MT; numerous step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary (Phillips) Shock; husband, Adolf I. Johnson; sisters, Donna Mae Gray and Evelyn Litsey; brother, Thor Shock.
