Gaylene H. Noyes, 82, of Cando, ND, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the Towner County Medical Center in Cando, ND.  Private funeral services will be held.

Gaylene Was born January 4, 1942 to Gilman and Helen (Gunnerud) Quammen in Devils Lake, North Dakota.  She made her home with her Aunt and Uncle Irene and Sigurd Yndesdal in rural Devils Lake from age one until she married Dennis Moran in1959.  She married Richard Noyes on November 6, 2006 in Cando, North Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  She attended school in Brinsmade, Devils Lake Central, Maddock and ND State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND.  She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in Rugby, Harvey and Grand Forks.

Gaylene's interests included working in her vegetable and flower gardens, and playing piano and organ. Gaylene played for First Lutheran Church Choir in Rugby for years.

Gaylene's wishes were that her body be donated to UND School of Medicine and Health Services Deeded Body Program.   Interment will be at Norway Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.

Gaylene is survived by her husband Richard, son Dean Moran of Fargo, ND; daughter Janelle (John) Lasky of Georgetown, DE; brother Duane (Janet) Stensby, Maddock, ND; Goddaughter, Shelly Sizer, Bismarck, ND and her brother, Robbie Jewett, Valley City, ND; three nieces, Jenny, Holly and Becky; one nephew, Jesse, and her fur kids (dogs) TriCee and Elcee. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elaine Peel.
