Gladys E. Neidlinger, 103 of Cando formerly of Hampden, ND passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Towner County Medical Center, Cando, ND. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Zoar Free Lutheran Church, Hampden with Reverend Craig Wentzel officiating. Burial will be in the Storlie Cemetery, rural Hampden in the spring. Visitation will be held at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home, Cando on Friday, April 13th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Music will be provided by Chuck and Alice Damschen.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Gladys will be Todd Anderson, Jay Anderson, Jack Neidlinger, Don Schonauer, Dale Schonauer and Doug Schonauer.

Gladys E. Neidlinger, daughter of Albert & Gena (Sorbo) Ferley, was born on March 12, 1915 on a farm near Northwood, IA. She grew up in Starkweather, ND. Gladys married Adrian T. Neidlinger on November 14, 1937 in Starkweather, ND. Following their marriage, the couple farmed and ranched in the Hampden area until their retirement. They moved to Cando in August of 1999 and Gladys entered the Towner County Medical Center of Cando in October of 2017.

Gladys was a member of the UMC in Hampden, then the Zoar Free Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Women's Ladies Aid and also the Women's Auxiliary in Hampden. Gladys cherished & loved her family and friends and she enjoyed arts and crafts, various games and traveling in the winter.

She is survived by her Grandchildren Kris (Eddie) Heckmann of St. Louis, MO and Matthew (Melissa) Neidlinger of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Minneapolis, MN; and Great Grandchildren Allison and Luke Heckmann. Other survivors include nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Joan Wilhelmi.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, her husband Adrian and her beloved son Vern.
