Harold H. Rinas, 91, of Cando, ND and formerly of Egeland, ND passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake, ND with Rev. Scott Ramey officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Memorials are preferred to Union Cemetery, 7360 85th St. NE., Egeland, ND 58331

Harold was born to Carl and Martha Rinas on February 13,1934 on the family farm in Egeland, ND. He graduated from Egeland High School in 1952. On February 17, 1955, he married the love of his life, Elaine Quackenbush, whom he shared 67 years of devotion, laughter, and family memories. Together they raised six children on the farm North of Egeland. A lifelong farmer in Egeland, Harold took pride in working the land and tending to his crops. Beyond farming, he drove school bus for many years making sure the kids got to school and home safely. He enjoyed camping trips with his family and friends that included coaching men's and women's softball tournaments in Red Willow and Stump Lake and as we all know, he was extremely passionate when he coached.

Harold is survived by Keith (Connie) Rinas, of Fargo, ND, Leah (Fred) Lundeby of Tolna, ND, Kevin (Kayleen) Rinas of Bisbee, ND, Bruce (Kari) Rinas of Egeland, ND, and Lisa (Jerry) Johnson of Fargo, ND. He was a proud Grandpa of 13 Grandkids and 23 Great Grandkids who brought endless joy.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Elaine, Sister Gerda, Brother Ike, Son Bryon and Great Grandson Jackson.

We will miss his gift of gab and the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and anywhere.
