Herbert P. Sieler, 85, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Egeland, ND passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Edgwood Vista in Fargo, ND surrounded by his family. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Cando Assembly of God Church in Cando with Rev. Michael Rohrer and Rev. David Sjostrom officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 5:00 PM Family Service at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will take place at the Union Cemetery in Egeland, ND at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Music will be provided by Rev. David and Connie Sjostrom. Casket Bearers will be Jeremy Rinas, Tyson Sieler, Brian Duenow, Ryan Tjaden, Jesse Jacobson, Jim Julsrud and Peter Forward. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Herbert's Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchild.

Herbert was born the 2nd son to Albert and Elsie Sieler on February 3rd, 1934 in Plevna, MT. He attended primary and secondary school in Plevna, MT and Lady Smith, WI. In 1951, he attended Lakewood Park Bible College in Devils Lake, ND where he met the love of his life, Donna Lou Rance. Herbert and Donna Lou were married October 3, 1953 and had 3 children – Lewellyn, Gaylon, and Connie. Their first year of marriage they lived in Billings, MT then in 1955 moved to Egeland, ND where they farmed until 1978. After farming for 23 years they took 2 years to travel in their motorhome until settling down in Chula Vista, CA in 1980. There he worked at Rohr Industries, then General Dynamics until his retirement in 1994. While working for General Dynamics he assisted in the building of Tomahawk Missiles and the Space Shuttle Endeavour.
Upon retirement, they enjoyed traveling and bought a home in West Fargo where they lived until 2015. They then moved to Edgewood Vista in Fargo where they resided until his death.

Throughout his life, he served as a church board member at Egeland Assembly of God and Sunday School teacher for Cando Assembly of God. He was also PTA President and a school bus driver for the Egeland School District.

Herbert was strong in his faith and a shining beacon of Christ's love to all those who were fortunate enough to meet him. He was devoted to his wife and family setting an example of strong, unconditional love and genuine character.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elsie Sieler and his grandson Michael Sieler.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Donna Lou Sieler (Fargo, ND), his 3 children Lewellyn (Gerry) Sieler (Fargo, ND), Gaylon (Susie) Sieler (Cando, ND), Connie (Keith) Rinas (West Fargo, ND, his brothers Marvin (Irene) Sieler (Orofino, ID), Bob (Grace) Sieler (Billings, MT), and Dan (Linda) Sieler (Redmond, WA), 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
