ILENE A. QUACKENBUSH, 88, of Rock Lake, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Halstad Living Center in Halstad, MN.  A private family service will be held in the spring.

Ilene was born to Emil and Lillian (Smith) Lindenberg on August 16, 1933 at Starkweather, North Dakota.

Ilene was married to Robert Quackenbush on November 5, 1953 in Cando.  They were married for 66 years.  They both spent most of their married life farming near Rock Lake.

Irene enjoyed bingo, spending time with family, going to the casino, crocheting and baking.  She worked as a CNA in Cando until she retired in 1998.

She is survived by her four children Robert (Shelly) Quackenbush Jr. of Rapid City SD, Jeanie (Tim) Wiener of Rock Lake, ND, Pam Berg of Devils Lake, ND and Susan (Pat) Flanagan of Hillsboro, ND; Sister-in-law Marcia (Larry) Thiel of Bottineau, ND; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Emil & Lillian Lindenberg, husband Robert, grandson Kyle Quackenbush, brothers Glen, Lyle, Dennis and Leo and sisters Doris Stotts, Lorraine Evans, Ione Thorstad and Byrdie Olson.
