Joan C. Lindberg, 74, of Perth, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at her home. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 10 am at the Bisbee Lutheran Church, Bisbee, ND with Rev. Bonnie Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Duane Volk, Carl Peters, Tim Doehler, Bill Langer, Tracy Boe, Danny Boe, Chris Doehler and Skeeter Carkhuff. Music will be from Mary Ellen Peters and Sue Jensen. Interment will be at the Perth Cemetery.

Joan C. Hegge was born on July 9, 1941 in Devils Lake, ND to Joseph and Cecilia (Bryn) Hegge. She attended Morris Country School by Webster, ND and graduated from Devils Lake High School in Devils Lake, ND. She then attended Minot State University where she obtained her teachers certificate. Joan was united in marriage to Ronald A. Lindberg on June 27, 1964 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Devils Lake, ND. Joan taught second grade in Rock Lake, ND. Ronald and Joan lived on the farm in Perth until their retirement in 1995. Ronald passed away on May 13, 2012. Joan continued to live on the farm until she passed away.

Joan like to fish, camp, spend time at the cabin with Donald, Inez and family. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, loved the 4th of July, playing pinochle and other card games, enjoyed having a cup of tea with friends and helping with Senior Meals at the Chocolate Shop. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Perth where she taught Sunday school, was President of the Bisbee-Egeland School Board and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Sharon (Scott) Boe of Perth, ND, Richard Lindberg (Sue Jensen) of Hazen, ND and Cindy (Tom) Rerick of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Cassie (Kris) Brown of Grand Forks, ND, Taylor Boe and Carly Boe of Perth, ND, George Rerick and Joe Rerick of Grand Forks, ND and Jonah and Joshua Jensen of Hazen, ND; great-grandchilden: Adley Brown and Emberly Brown of Grand Forks, ND, sister Dorothy (Melvin) Bish of Sun City West, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ronald; sisters Ellen Volk and Betty White and brother Robert Hegge.
