June M. Malmedal, 83, Egeland, ND died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Good Samaritan Home, Devils Lake, ND.

June Margaret Koss was born on June 11, 1926 at Arndt, North Dakota to Friederick and Margarethe (Liepke) Koss.  She went to Ideal and Crocus grade schools and then to Egeland High School where she graduated.  After graduation she worked for a couple years at the Towner County Courthouse.  She was united in marriage to Edward Floyd Malmedal on October 9, 1946 at Egeland.  After their marriage, the couple lived and farmed four miles east of Bisbee, ND.  In 1949, they moved to their present homestead where they continued to farm and ranched.  June entered the Good Samaritan Home in July, 2009.  June enjoyed to garden and take care of her yard.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She was a member of the Bisbee Lutheran Church, Bisbee.

June is survived by her son: Sheldon (Marilyn) Malmedal, of Linton, ND and daughter: Judy (Richard) Galow, of Bisbee, ND.  Besisdes her husband, Floyd, June was preceded in death by her son: Leslie (Charlie) Malmedal, her parents, brother, Warner Koss and sister, Ruby Koss.

Funeral Service:  Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Bisbee Lutheran Church, Bisbee

Visitation:  Monday, October 5, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home, Cando

Interment: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Cando, ND
