June Marie Murdock, 88, of Rock Lake, ND passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Rock Lake, ND with Rev. Rick Craig officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the Rock Lake Community Cemetery in Rock Lake, ND. Casket bearers will be Roger Kurtti, Roger Lindenberg, Darrel Lagein, David Lagein, Ashton Stelljes, and Channing Stelljes. Music will be provided by Darlene Aronson and Diane O'Brien.

June was born June 9, 1930 to Walter and Katherine (Maloney) Winchell in Rolla, ND. She was raised and attended school in Rock Lake, ND. She was united in marriage to George Victor Murdock on April 30, 1949 in Cando, ND. June was an Avon representative for fifty years and loved visiting with every single one of her customers. June helped on the farm raising chickens, geese, ducks and selling eggs. June always had a huge garden and did a lot of canning. She tried to give away as much as she could. She loved her family and dog Suzie. She served on the election board and always reminded her grandchildren to vote and was a part of the VFW Auxiliary for several years. She loved to watch wildlife (Pheasants, deer, birds, etc.) and loved watching crops right up to this last harvest. The couple farmed until 1984 and June continued to live on the farm until January 2018.

June is survived by her daughter Laura (Bill) Rensvold of Fargo, ND; son-in-law Dave McConnell of Rock Lake, ND; grandchildren Christopher McConnell, Karen McConnell, Kait Stelljes, Kerri (Kur) Kur, Kim Rensvold and Kevin Rensvold; great-grandchildren Ashton Stelljes, Channing Stelljes, Cymone Blue, Deng Oboya, Menha Oboya, Nai Kur, Avery Kur, Achol Kur, Tarin Rensvold, Dut Deng and Lillian Schutz.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, daughter Glenda and her sisters Ruth and Betty.
