Kevin L. Harwood, 61, of Cando, ND passed away on Friday January 09, 2026 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.  A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, ND. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Oberon in the spring.

Kevin was born in Wichita, KS to Gerald Harwood and Carolyn Clifton.  He lived in Wichita with his parents until 1968 and then moved to Oberon/Sheyenne area where he went to school.  Kevin graduated from Maddock, ND in 1983.  He worked for an area farmer and the elevator in Oberon for a while and then moved to Cando around 1991.  Kevin worked at Noodles by Leonardo and was working for Jorde Potatoes until his death at Altru in Grand Forks in the care of hospice.

Kevin is survived by his mother Carolyn of Jamestown, ND, his brothers Curtis of Turtle Lake, ND and Kiley of Wahpeton, ND; Aunts Donna (Ronnie) Smith of Maddock, ND, Debra Fairchild of Grand Forks, ND, Cindy Simon of Fargo, ND; Uncles Larry of Lisbon, ND, Robert (Peg) of Carrington, ND, Joe (Kelly) Clifton  of Minnewaukan, ND, David (Darlene) of Grand Forks, ND and Donald of Harwood, TX; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his brother Joel, his father, Uncles Gerald and Doug, his grandparents Arnold and Phyllis Clifton and Rose Harwood and Bruce Harwood.

Kevin enjoyed watching football especially the Vikings and Twins baseball and visiting with friends.
