Laurie Anne Lunn, 65, of Mandan, ND and formerly of Cando, ND passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Garrison, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 PM Thursday March 7, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cando, ND with Fr. Daniel Musgrave celebrating mass. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM with Rosary at 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Music will be provided by Gladys Fluge, Tom Freund and the Sacred Heart Choir. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: Uffda Fund for Animals P.O. Box 454 Cando, ND 58324.
Laurie Anne was born December 1, 1953 to Edward and Emma (Allery) Koshney in Cando. She was raised and educated in Cando, graduating with the class of 1971. Laurie furthered her education and graduated from Lake Region College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She spent her life caring for others at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, the Rehabilitation Center in Mandan and home health care for a short time.
Laurie enjoyed gathering with her family for holidays, shopping and was a very talented pianist. She cared very deeply for her nieces and nephews and expressed her love with them often. Laurie was a loving and caring person who enjoyed helping others. She often donated to charities and animal rescues. Laurie helped many friends and loved her cats, taking care of many strays as well.
Laurie loved life, her family and being a nurse. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Laurie is survived by her mother, Emma; special friend, Joe Pina; siblings, Linda (Gary) Martinson of Devils Lake, ND, Beverly Koshney of Devils Lake, ND, Paulette (Clyde) Kringlen of McIntosh, MN, Mike (Brenda) Koshney of Fargo, ND, David Koshney of Walhalla, ND, Albert (Laura) Koshney of Mayville, ND, Kathrine (Doyle) Schwanke of Maddock, ND and Mary (Bradley)Turck of Devils Lake, ND; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Koshney; brother, Gary Koshney; grandparents; numerous relatives.
