Linda Elaine (Moen) Knutson, 79, of Cando, ND, passed away on February 4, 2025 at Towner County Medical Center.

Linda was born on December 29, 1945, in Devils Lake, ND, to Ernest and Lucile (Strand) Moen. She grew up in Edmore, ND, where she graduated from Edmore High School. She later attended the University of North Dakota.

While working at PCA located in the Devils Lake Farmers Union, Linda was introduced to the love of her life, David Knutson. They married on November 15, 1969, in Edmore at the Concordia Lutheran Church. They lived in Edmore for several years, and it was there they welcomed all three of their sons - Jayson, Aaron, and Chris. The family later moved to Rock Lake and eventually settled in Egeland, where they lived for many years before relocating to Cando in 2015.

Linda was a dedicated mother and a proud supporter of her sons' activities, always cheering on the Bisbee-Egeland Panthers. She took great pride in providing not only for her family but also for the community, often offering transportation to school and extracurricular events for other children.

For many years, Linda worked as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She was an active member of the Red Hats and the Egeland Senior Citizens group. Linda cherished time with family and friends, whether it was playing Bunco, sharing coffee or a meal with her friends, enjoying a game of Canasta or dominoes with her family, or going for a drive around town with Dave.

Above all, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She adored her children and grandchildren and took great joy in following their activities, milestones, and careers. She lovingly crafted personalized Christmas stockings for each of them, always ready to create another as the family grew.

Linda's kindness, warmth, good conversation, and quick wit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, David Knutson; her sons, Jayson (Jessica) of Cando, ND, and their children Emily (Eric), Ian, and Kinzley (Hayes); Aaron (Lori) of Pleasant Hill, IA, and their children Taylor and Jeter; and Chris (Melissa) of Plymouth, MN, and their children Kaeli and Blake; great-granddaughters, Sawyer and Baby Buteau; her sister, Lois (Moen) Lykken, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lucile Moen and her brother-in-law, Jerry Lykken.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, at 2:00 PM at Dunnigan Dix Funeral Home in Cando, with Pastor Jeff Peters officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM. Linda will be laid to rest in Egeland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Egeland Union Cemetery.
