Linda Renae Orvedal, 71, of Cando, ND passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Towner County Medical Center in Cando, ND. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, ND with Pastor Jeff Peters officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Nass, Calvin Nass, Andrew Givens, Jessie Givens, Gavin Givens and Michael Givens, Jr.

Linda Renae, born August 18, 1948, was the eldest child of Lynn and Dorothy (Henke) Nass. Linda was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Church.

In her earlier years, Linda perfected her sewing skills, worked as a Nurses Aid, and eventually as an aid in Special Education. She volunteered for many organizations, cared for her grandmother in her home, hosted large holidays and raised two children.

Linda moved to Cando and in April 1988 she met and married her best friend, Larry Orvedal. Together, they opened L and L Machine and Linda's Upholstery. She was never too busy for family-whether it was running errands, having her grandsons for the summer visits, caring for her beautiful nieces and nephews, or taking the time to craft beautiful gifts. She always remembered her family in the most special ways.

Linda was an avid gardener, making herself known for her exceptional talent. She crafted many beautiful wood projects that would thrill and delight all who received them.

Above all else, she was a graceful lady that gave her love to all of us.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Nass, her brother, Jerry Nass, and her special aunt Nadine Miller.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Larry Orvedal, mother, Dorothy Kannas, brother, Danny Nass (Lori), daughter, Valerie, and son, Jamie.

She leaves behind her grandchildren: Jessie, Andrew, Michael and Ashley Givens; Josh and Aimee Smith, and Devin and Kaylee Jacksen. Great-grandchildren: Jeffrey, Charlie, Gavin, Della, Lindi, Sutton and Amelia.
