Obituary

Lorraine Evans, 84, of Cando, ND, formerly of Bisbee, ND passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Towner County Living Center in Cando, ND. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Trinity-Bergen Lutheran Church in Starkweather, ND with Rev. Robert Buechler officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at the Storlie Cemetery in Hampden, ND. Honorary bearers will be Duane Evans, Aaron Peyerl, Josh Stanley, Dylan Bulmer and Mark Hendrickson. Music will be provided by Catherine Anfinson.

Lorraine Lindenberg was born August 10, 1931 in rural Starkweather, ND to Emil and Lillian (Smith) Lindenberg. She attended school in rural Starkweather. Lorraine was united in marriage to Floyd Evans on January 26, 1952 at Bremerton, WA. The couple returned to North Dakota where Lorraine was employed as a waitress at the Chocolate Shop in Bisbee, ND for twenty-five years. The couple moved to Cando in 2000. Floyd passed away March 30, 2009. Lorraine continued to make Cando her home until the time of her death. Lorraine enjoyed visiting, attending church, cooking, baking, playing cards, listening to country music and watching Wheel of Fortune. Lorraine's greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her children: Shirley (Frank) Dianne Peyerl of Cando, ND; Barbara Ann Stanley of Baker City, Oregon; Lorrie Marie Bulmer of Grand Forks, ND; daughter-in-law: Diane Evans; siblings: Ilene (Bob) Quackenbush and Leo Lindberg; Grandchildren: Sheri (Shannon) Winnegge, Aaron (Lisa) Peyerl, Cari (Bob) Hallaway, Delinda (Jim) Geisen, Diana (Troy) Van Raden, Duane Evans, Joshua Stanley, Loranna (Ozzy) Aguirre, Dylan Bulmer; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marilyn Morstad; brother-in-law Robert Stotts and special friend Delores Geisen. Lorraine was preceded by her parents, husband, son Gordon Evans and siblings Ione, Doris, Glen, Lyle, Byrdie and Dennis.
