Marjorie M. Dick, 79, of Stanley, ND, formerly of Cando, ND went home to her Lord & Savior peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 with her loving family at her side. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at her Celebration of Life Ceremony to be held at the Cando Assembly of God Church in Cando, ND with Pastor Michael Rohrer officiating on Sunday November 3, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cando, ND. Casket bearers will be Marjorie's grandchildren; Joshua Haugen, Kayla Haugen, Josi Hill, Cassandra Dick, Jonathon Dick, Jacob Dick and Amanda Dick. Honorary bearer will be great-grandchild Lydia Grace Hartman-Haugen.
Marge was born to Emil and Mae (Belcher) Nelson on August 24, 1940. Marge grew up in Sheyenne, ND graduating in 1958 from Oberon High School.
Marge married the love of her life, Eugene C. Dick, on July 19, 1958. This union was blessed with 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Marge worked in Devils Lake at the Good Samaritan Center for over 25 years. Eugene and Marge lived in Devils Lake for many years before moving to Cando in 2007. Due to ill health, Marge moved into the Mountrail-Bethel Nursing Home on January 23, 2019 in Stanley, ND. Eugene relocated to Stanley to be near her.
Marge always enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their activities.
Marge was always known for her love and kindness towards others. She was gentle, kind and soft-spoken. She had a heart of gold and always put God, family and friends first. She touched the hearts of many people and showed love to all those who crossed her path.
She endured a long chronic illness with grace. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She always remained positive despite her many health challenges.
Marge is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Eugene (Stanley, ND); daughter and son-in-law Dianna & Gene Rosinski (Cando, ND); daughter Marjean Haugen (Cando, ND); daughter Darcy Gregg (Ogden, UT); son & daughter-in-law Terry & Twana Dick (Stanley, ND); grandchildren: Joshua Haugen (Cando, ND), Kayla Haugen (Bismarck, ND) Josi (Kyndahl) Hill (Ogden, UT) Cassandra Dick (Fargo, ND), Jonathon Dick (Fargo, ND) Jacob Dick (Stanley, ND) & Amanda Dick (Stanley, ND) and Great-granddaughter Lydia Grace Hartman-Haugen (Ortonville, MN). Other surviving family members include brother Duane Nelson (Devils Lake, ND) and brother & sister-in-law Roger & Debby Nelson (Little Falls, MN).
Marge is preceded in death by her parents, Emil & Mae Nelson; brother Ron Nelson, son-in-law Kent Haugen and sister-in-law Bernice Nelson.
