Mickey Kenneth Teubner was born August 2, 1962 at Towner County Memorial Hospital in Cando. Mickey was born to Ken and Diane three months premature. He was a fighter right from the start. At age five he started school at North Dakota School for the Blind. After graduating from high school, he lived at home for a year before attending Piano Tuning School in Vancouver, WA. After graduating from there, he moved to Minot and tuned pianos for a few years. He was then offered a job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he worked for 25 years. Mickey made many good friends who treated him just like family there. In December 2016 Bruce, Rocky, Sandy and Bryce went down and moved him back to North Dakota. In January 2017 he moved to Bismarck. In his few years living there he made many special friends. He was a part of the worship team at his church. He was a member of the ND Association of the Blind and also served on the board.
Music, sports and technology were his life. He could talk for hours about any country western singer, the Yankees, Twins and Bison football. He was a sea of knowledge. His parents surprised him with a trip to Nashville which meant the world to him. It was always his dream to get to go there. Mickey started having health issues the last few years and fought a courageous battle with cancer before he was called home.
Mickey is survived by his parents Ken and Diane; brothers Bruce (Sandy) of Cando and Rocky (special friend Michelle) of Devils Lake; sisters Donna Huschle of Cando, Denise (Mike) O'Brien of Bismarck and Debbie (Srinavas) Goluguri of McKinney, TX; nieces Kelsey (John) Hagen, Kassie O'Brien, Kellie Jo Huschle, Lexi Goluguri, Jeri Goluguri and Marissa O'Brien; nephews Bryce Teubner, Kyle O'Brien and Ajay Goluguri; great nephew Harrison Hagen and great niece Adeline Hagen.
