Paula Jean Hendrickson, 56, of Cando, ND, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Cando Lutheran Church with Pastor Bonnie Weaver officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cando, ND. Casket Bearers will be John Brandt, John Nelson Jr., James Nelson, Tom Nelson, Fred Bernsdorf and Barry Neumann. Music will be provided by Joni Morlock and Andrea Thoreson.


Paula Jean Nelson was born on May 20, 1961 to John and Grace (Lybeck) Nelson in Maddock, ND. She attended school in Minot, ND, Broadus, MT, Glasgow Air Force Base, MT and graduated from Leeds, ND High School in 1980.

Paula married Jef Fogelson in 1983 in Leeds, ND and they had a daughter Lacie in August of 1985. Paula married Wade Hendrickson on May 28, 1993. They had 2 daughters; Halie in July of 1994 and Kendal in July of 1996. Her first grandchild, Locke Hansen was born in July of 2016.

Paula is survived by her husband Wade of Cando, ND; daughters Lacie (Casey) Hansen of Fargo, ND and Kendal of Fargo, ND; grandson Locke Hansen of Fargo, ND; sisters Pam Nelson of Shepherd, MT and Penny (John) Brandt of Bozeman, MT; brothers John Nelson Jr. of Yakima, WA, James (Terri) Nelson of Steilacoom, WA, Tom Nelson of Yakima, WA and Fred (Hyang Ok) Bernsdorf of Navarre, FL; mother Grace (Bob) Harder of Yakima, WA; step-mother Everal Nelson of Miles City, MT; sister and brother-in-law Cyndi and James Bennington of Churchs Ferry, ND, mother-in-law Doreen Hendrickson of Cando, ND; 5 nephews and 11 nieces. Paula was preceded in death by her daughter Halie Hendrickson, father John Nelson, nephew Tyler Williams, father-in-law Bill Hendrickson and brother-in-law Brian Hendrickson.
