Obituary

Ronald A. Lindberg, 75, of Perth, ND passed away at the Towner County Living Center in Cando, ND on Sunday, May 13, 2012. Services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 2pm at the Bisbee Lutheran Church, Bisbee, ND with Rev. Bonnie Weaver officiating.  Visitation will be held at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.  Visitation on Thursday will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.   Music will be from Mary Ellen Peters and Jerie Gable.  Interment will be at the Perth Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Halling-Scobba Post #129, Bisbee American Legion, Mooney-Carnahan Post #8196, Rock Lake VFW and the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team.

Ronald A. Lindberg was born on May 23, 1936 in Perth, ND to Thure and Margaret (Berg) Lindberg.  He attended Monroe Township School, Perth School and graduated from Bisbee High School in Bisbee, ND.  He graduated from Bottineau School of Forestry and then attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND.  Ronald joined the United States Air Force in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1962.  He was united in marriage to Joan Hegge on June 27, 1964 in Devils Lake, ND.  He farmed his whole life in the Perth, ND area until retiring in 1995.  He remained on the farm after he retired and helped out his son-in-law, Scott Boe, until 2011.

Ronald enjoyed woodworking, spending time on his computer and driving his big red Ford truck.   He was a member of the Perth Lutheran Church, Perth Lutheran Church Council, Perth Cemetery Board, Mooney-Carnahan Post #8196, Rock Lake VFW, Halling-Scobba Post # 129, Bisbee American Legion, served as the Assessor for the Monroe Township Board and also held various offices in the American Legion and VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Joan of Perth, ND; children:  Sharon (Scott) Boe of Perth, ND, Richard Lindberg (Amy Reider) of Minot, ND, Cindy (Tom) Rerick of Grand Forks, ND;  grandchildren:  Cassie (Kris) Brown of Grand Forks, ND, Taylor Boe and Carly Boe of Perth, ND, George Rerick and Joe Rerick of Grand Forks, ND, Riley Reider, Chloe Reider and Ethan Reider of Minot, ND; great-grandchild:  Adley Brown of Grand Forks, ND, and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and his sister Cecelia Boe.

Tracy Boe, Bill Langer, Dan Boe, Paul Grann, Carl Peters, Tim Doehler, Skeeter Carkhuff and Roger Lindberg.
