Stephen P. Orrill, 64, of Cando, ND passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Trinity Hospital in Minot. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Cando with Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Casket bearers will be Pat Esterly, Bruce Klingenberg and RJ Miller. Honorary bearers will be North Star Public School 2nd and 3rd graders. Music will be provided by Karen Braaten. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Cando, ND. Visitation will be on Thursday for one hour before the service at the church.
Stephen P. Orrill was born on July 4, 1951 in Vallejo, California to Donald and Ethel (Riden) Orrill. Stephen attended high school and graduated from college at Charleston, West Virginia. Stephen married Sherea Scheveck on October 10, 1998 in Amicalola Falls, GA. He volunteered in Cando at the elementary school and really enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd graders. He loved to garden, spend time with Sherea and his three dogs and cat.
Stephen is survived by his wife Sherea of Cando, ND; mother Ethel (95) of Calhoun, GA; daughter Jennifer Orrill of Kentucky; step-children Jaci Nussbaum of Missouri, Troy Nussbaum of Elsworth, MN, and Hana Thompson of Renner, SD, sisters Chris (John) Sears of Boone, NC, Susie (Don) Gaston of Swanlea, IL, Donna (Dale) Beckett of Madison, WI and Marilyn (David) Gossett-Roqumore of Calhoun, GA and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald.
