Virgil L.Teubner, 79, of Bisbee, ND, was called to rest on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND.  Services will be 10:00 am Monday, April 8, 2013 at Bisbee Lutheran Church in Bisbee with Rev. Bonnie Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013 beginning at 4pm with a 7pm Prayer Service at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home of Cando, ND, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the spring at the Bisbee Lutheran Cemetery in Bisbee, ND.  Casket bearers will be: Tracy College, Shawn College, Travis Sattler, Steven Pierson, Stacy Pierson and Michael Jelsing. Honorary casket bearer will be Kellen Teubner.  Music will be from Lori Kurtti, pianist.

Virgil L. Teubner was born November 5, 1933 in Cando, ND the son of Fred and Elizabeth (Wicker) Teubner and grew up on a farm south of Cando with his two brothers Ronald and Kenneth. He graduated from Cando High School and then attended college at McPherson, KS, where he participated in sports, and Mayville State College. On October 23, 1958 he married Bonnie (Fox). They raised three children, Cynthia, Kevin and Kyle. The family lived in Cando until 1963 when they moved to the farm south of Bisbee. During the 60's and 70's, Virgil took great pride in raising and showing horses with his family. They traveled all over the state and won many awards. Virgil was also a member of the Auctioneers Association. He belonged from 1974 until the late 90's. In 1978 he was the president of the association. Virgil loved auctioneering and the people he was able to meet.

Virgil is survived by his wife Bonnie, son Kyle (Karmen) and daughter Cindy (the late Daryl Jelsing). He is also survived by step daughters Paula (Gary College), Lorelie (Steve Rekkedahl), Deanna, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and brothers Ronald (Edair) and Kenneth (Diane). Virgil is preceded in death by his parents, his son Kevin and his son-in-law Daryl Jelsing.

When I was a little girl and visited my dad (Donald Newman) at work at the creamery in Cando, one of my fond memories is of Virgil being there too.  Always laughing and fun. My sincere sympathy to the family.
