William J. "Bill" Fust, 79, of Cando, ND, formerly of Minneapolis, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Towner County Medical Center in Cando. Visitation will be held on Monday September 9, 2019 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the Minneapolis Fire Museum, 664 22nd Ave. NE Minneapolis, MN 55418.

William was a retired Minneapolis Fire Battalion Chief and a former Minneapolis Police Officer.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Fust, daughter Eileen Mack (Jim), sons James Fust, and Michael Fust, sister Mary Stedman (Denis) brother Robert (Kathy), Grandchildren, Sarah Jacobs (Justin), Carrie Vernier (Al), Thomas Mack, Anthony Mack (Alex), John Rioux, David Fust Erin Gentry (Eric), Amie Weeks (Adam), Holly Fust, Zane Hunter (Briana), and Beau Hunter.
Great-Grandchildren, Tyler, Haley, Ethan, Maia, Devon, Jacxtin Alyssa, Kaylee, Gabriella, Erica, Eric, Elias, and Silas.
Step-Children, Marguerite Freda, Carlo Freda, (Christie), Denton Swann Jr., Roger Taylor Jr. (Paige).
10 Step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Evangeline Fust, brother Charles Fust, former wife Judith Fust, and daughter in law Julie Fust.
